Our Mail Order Service
FUTURE FORESTS has been supplying plants by mail order
for over 20 years, so we can assure new customers that their plants
will arrive safely and in good condition.
Plants can be sent to anywhere in Ireland and the UK. They are carefully
packed in special thermal bags, each parcel has a tracking number
and, within Ireland, should reach you 48 hours or less after leaving the
nursery. We dispatch at the start of
each week to avoid parcels being
delayed over the weekend.
Bare root plants up
to 5ft in height are available from November to March.
Container grown
plants can be sent at any time of year.
We try to send all orders as quickly as possible but delays may occur if
weather conditions prove unsuitable for lifting or we are waiting for a
particular plant to complete your order. Most of our plants are Irish grown
& held in stock all year round but some of the more unusual varieties have
to be imported and may not be readily available.
ORDERS
can be given by letter, phone and fax (027) 66176 or email
futureforests@eircom.net.
Email is especially suitable: we can confirm your order quickly, advise if
any plant is sold out and will email you when your plants have been sent
out.
Please write your address clearly and if
possible include a telephone number so if there are any problems we can sort them out as
quickly as possible.
DELIVERY
COSTS:
We now use both An Post and
Fastway Couriers and charge according to their current rates plus a small
supplement for packaging.
An Post has provided an excellent service over the years but Courier can be
considerably cheaper for heavier orders (see table below). However a
signature is required on delivery and a telephone number, preferably a
mobile. We are happy to advise on individual orders but please let us know
if courier is a suitable option, otherwise we will send with An Post.

PAYMENT
We can now take
payments by Visa,
Mastercard or Laser.
When paying by cheque, as it is always difficult to know
the final weight and cost of a particular order until
the plants are packed; please send a "limit cheque"
crossed & payable to Future Forests Ltd. Leave the amount blank but write across the top
"not to exceed X
uro" (the amount you wish to spend)
We will bill your card or fill
in the details on your cheque when we send your order. A
receipt will be attached to the parcel showing the exact amount charged. This avoids the hassle of refunds or credit
notes should any plant have sold out & allows us to charge postage fairly.
Regular customers with a good credit history can be
supplied on an invoice basis.
VAT All
prices in this list include VAT at 13.5% except for Fruit, which is
zero rated. The
definition of 'fruit' is arguably open to interpretation so if, for example you are
involved in permaculture or selecting otherwise ornamental plants for their fruiting
qualities, let us know. If you are registered for VAT please ask for a VAT invoice,
otherwise all invoices & receipts will be VAT inclusive.
FORESTRY GRANTS, REPS &
TRADE: Further discounts available. Please ask for quotations on large
orders.
We are inspected on a regular basis by the Dept. of Agriculture in accordance with the
current phytosanitary regulations and can supply EEC plant passports also Certificate and
Identity numbers for grant requirements.
TERMS & CONDITIONS:
Heights
given are approximate and reflect the relative age and strength of plants as well as their
actual height.
Should we have sold out of a particular plant/size, we
reserve the right to make near substitutions unless requested not to do so in which case,
if you have enclosed full payment with your order, we will send you a credit note or cash
refund as you prefer.
While every care is taken to ensure that your trees arrive
in the best of condition, we cannot be responsible for failures due to bad planting,
drought, unsuitability of site etc. If you have any complaints or queries, please advise
us in writing within 10 days of receiving your order.
