 A fund raiser for flood victims in Ethiopia. REVELATION SOUNDS and INTIN entertained us all night and Christy's Ethiopian friends from Cork gave an Ethiopian flavour to the Cafe.

Benefit gig raised over 1,500 for Bantry Concerned Action Group
 Many thanks to MOSSY BUNYIP, our local Samba group SAMBAHKISTA & all those who contributed songs, music and food for the cafe.

Will from ISSA & Ruaille Buaille
raised over 600 euro for OPERATION SMILE  to provide corrective surgery for kids in Tanzania suffering cleft palets and other deformities. Thanks to all who donated to the cafe, Aoife & Michelle, and to Ciara & Eli for sharing their wedding celebrations with this very worthy cause

The Fireflies and The Polskadots
 

The Fireflies are an accordion/clarinet-led local band, playing mainly klezmer music (Jewish wedding/party music) in a lively, rockin' style - more info here. The Polskadots play  tunes from eastern Europe, Russia, Turkey, Scandinavia and South America - two fiddles, accordion, mandolin, guitar, percussion and vocal.
